Jonathan Torgovnik

Jonathan Torgovnik's photographs have been widely exhibited in Europe and the US and published in numerous International publications, including Time, Newsweek, The Sunday Times Magazine, The New Yorker, Aperture, Stern, and GEO. Torgovnik is the author of two books: Bollywood Dreams (Phaidon) and Intended Consequences (Aperture). His photographs are in the permanent collections of museums and institutions such as Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; Bibliothèque National De France, Paris; and Library of Congress, Washington, DC. Honors he received include the Prix découverte d'arles at the Rencontres d’Arles in France, the National Portrait Gallery Prize (UK), the Open Society Foundations Distribution Grant, Getty Grant for Editorial Photography, Columbia University DuPont Journalism Award, and World Press Photo award. Torgovnik is also the co-founder of Foundation Rwanda an NGO that supports education for children born of rapes during the Rwandan genocide.
