As ICP’s premier patron society engaging photography enthusiasts from around the globe, Director's Council members share a deep commitment to ICP’s mission and enthusiasm for its possibilities. The Council serves as an advisory body, providing valuable insights, expertise, and support for ICP’s Executive Director to further the organization’s work.
Together with Executive Director David E. Little, Director’s Council members partake in special enrichment programming that strengthens their connection to ICP and photography, including unique access to exhibitions and programs at ICP as well as private collections and behind-the-scenes tours throughout New York and the world.
Director’s Council support begins at $10,000.

As a member, you gain access to an array of exclusive events that provide a greater level of involvement with ICP’s Museum, the curatorial team and exhibitions: curator-led tours, artist interactions, private collection visits, special events and more.
Collector’s Circle membership is $5,000 per year.
Additional Leadership Committees
The Exhibitions Committee supports the development of ICP’s exhibition program, identifying works which explore the history and future of image making.
The Collections Committee provides oversight and support for initiatives and acquisitions that enhance ICP’s permanent collections.
The Education Committee promotes the diverse and enriching educational programs of ICP School, awarding scholarship funding, and supporting special student initiatives.
ICP provides its committee members with a year-round calendar of enlightening educational programs, travel opportunities, and engaging social events. ICP’s Leadership Committees form a vibrant community of individuals who are deeply knowledgeable about photography and visual culture.
Committee dues are $7,500 per fiscal year.
Friends of the Library ensure that ICP is able to sustain and develop our Library’s role as the only library in New York City dedicated exclusively to photography, providing free access to exhibition catalogs, artist files, and books on photography from throughout the world.
Friends of Education Programs play a key role in supporting education at ICP by spearheading audience development initiatives, community and youth programs, and scholarships, which enable students from around the world to attend ICP classes.
All contributions to ICP programs are fully tax-deductible.
