The International Center of Photography’s home on the Lower East Side includes three floors of exhibition space showcasing leading photography and visual culture, ICP’s shop dedicated to photobooks, and the cafe which is open seven days a week.

The ICP Cafe and ICP Shop are open every day with hours listed below.

Last entrance is 30 minutes before galleries close. The museum is closed on Tuesdays, New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

ICP offers group rates and educator led tours and workshops. Become a member to receive unlimited free admission to ICP’s photography museum in NYC, plus discounts at the shop, invitations to exclusive events, and more. ICP is a proud participating member of Museums for All, a program that offers reduced admission prices to individuals and families who are receiving SNAP benefits.

ICP’s museum offers reduced admission ($5) on Thursdays from 5-8 PM and is free from 5-8 PM on the Third Thursday of each month.

Third Thursdays are made possible thanks to an expanded partnership with MPB, the largest online platform to buy, sell, and trade used photo and video gear.

The School at ICP

Classes & Labs

Note the School at ICP is a closed campus and accessible only to active students. The School at ICP offers courses and workshops for all levels, both onsite and online. Our state-of-the-art facilities include black-and-white darkrooms, digital media labs, classrooms, and a professional photographic studio.

ICP's William Randolph Hearst Library

ICP’s reading library contains over 20,000 books and periodicals. The reading room is open to ICP's community of students, faculty and members during ICP School hours for research, quiet meetings or as a workspace. Access to the library for outside researchers is by appointment. The library is open to the public during Photobook Club held on the last Saturday of each month.
