The ICP Museum at 250 Bowery is now closed. Please visit our new integrated center at Essex Crossing on the Lower East side opening in January 2020. Check back for updates on our new café.

The Capa Café—named for ICP founder and noted photojournalist Cornell Capa—is a 40-seat eatery inside of the ICP Museum on Manhattan’s Lower East Side.

Situated in the Museum’s welcoming public space, the Capa Café serves robust coffee and tea offerings as well as seasonal fare for breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks, including baked on-site breads and pastries, made-to-order sandwiches, and hot entrées. The neighborhood favorite offers free WiFi and is an ideal space to enjoy a fresh meal or relax with a glass of wine or beer while visiting the galleries at the ICP Museum.

The Capa Café is operated by Great Performances, a New York City–based food service and events company dedicated to sustainable food practices and community building. The company’s initiatives include its organic farm in Kinderhook, New York and support of food pantries throughout the city.
