Ernesto Bazan

Photography and teaching have been a true passion: a mission in his life.

Bazan has published several books including his Cuban trilogy: Bazan Cuba, Al Campo and ISLA.

He has won some of the world’s most prestigious photographic awards including The W. Eugene Smith Grant. He has also received fellowships including one from the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation.

He has had exhibitions around the world and his photographs have been widely collected by MoMA and ICP in New York, the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston.

In 2002, Ernesto Bazan created his own photographic workshops. Editing photographers' work-in-progress, has been the main task as a maestro.
