Christine Callahan

Christine Callahan is an artist and native New Yorker. She earned her MFA from the International Center of Photography – Bard College and her BFA from the School of Visual Arts. Her photographs have been exhibited at the Musée de l'Elysée, Switzerland, LiShui Museum of Photography, China, Context Gallery, Northern Ireland, Tactile Bosh Gallery, Wales, Teachers College at Columbia University and Aperture Gallery, New York. Selections of the series, 58 Empress Pines Drive was published in the Aperture book, ReGeneration 2: Tomorrow’s Photographers Today. Her project, Phantoms and Facades has been published on the contemporary photography website, LensCulture. www.lensculture.com/christine-callahan

She has written numerous art reviews for the periodical, Gay City News. She teaches photography at the International Center of Photography and online courses for the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. She lives in New York City.
