Snap the Sweep: Youth-Led Photography & Community Action
Join the high school students behind Snap the Sweep: NYC at Work, a youth-led photography initiative celebrating New York City's sanitation workers and the people who keep our city clean and running.
Following a brief presentation introducing the project and highlighting photographs submitted so far, an ICP alum Alexis Gines will lead a photowalk through the Lower East Side focused on Snap the Sweep. Participants are invited to explore their community through photography and capture the people and everyday work that often go unnoticed.
Bring your camera or smartphone and join us for this opportunity to photograph your neighborhood, connect with fellow photographers, and contribute to the project.
Final Call for Submissions!
Photograph submissions remain open through Sunday, October 18, at 12 PM (noon) ET. Selected photographs will be featured at ICP, and two winning photographers will receive a free ICP Teen Academy course, offering an opportunity to develop their photographic skills through ICP's Youth Programs.
