Annie Leibovitz is an American portrait photographer widely regarded as one of the most influential and recognizable photographers of the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries. Renowned for her striking celebrity portraits, conceptual editorial photography, and visually sophisticated storytelling, Leibovitz transformed portrait photography by combining documentary realism with theatrical staging and cinematic composition. Over a career spanning more than five decades, she has photographed many of the world's most prominent figures in politics, entertainment, fashion, sports, and the arts, establishing a body of work that has become central to the history of contemporary photography.
