ICP Alum Paola Chapdelaine (Documentary Practice ’23) was commissioned by The New York Times to photograph “Disney World Is the Happiest Place on Earth, if You Can Afford It.” The assignment explores the growing inaccessibility of Disney World for middle-class families, examining how rising ticket prices, new paid options, and increasing overall costs have made a classic family trip harder for many Americans to afford.
