Andy Grundberg is a professor at the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design as well as a critic, writer, and curator. His classic 1990 book Crisis of the Real: Writings on Photography Since 1974 was reissued in a new paperbook format by Aperture in 1999. The book collects Grundberg's essays written for several publications, including the New York Times.
