Printed Matter presents their 12th annual NY Art Book Fair from September 22 to 24 at MoMA PS1 in Long Island City, Queens. Free and open to the public, the NY Art Book Fair is the world's premier event for artists’ books, catalogues, monographs, periodicals, and zines. This year, the fair features over 370 booksellers, antiquarians, artists, institutions, and independent publishers from 28 countries. The opening night preview is Thursday, September 21 from 6 to 9 PM.

ICP is proud to have students, current and former staff and faculty, and alumni exhibiting at the fair and participating in events throughout the weekend.

Contemporary Artists’ Books Conference

NYABF17 will host an array of programming and special events, including the tenth annual Contemporary Artists’ Book Conference (CABC) on Friday, September 22 and Saturday, September 23. CABC presents two days of lively debate on emerging practices and issues within art-book culture. The theme of this anniversary conference is activism.

The opening session of CABC, Photobooks: Protest and Resistance (2–3:30 PM), is organized by ICP Head Librarian & Archivist Matthew Carson and will feature ICP Dean Emeritus Fred Ritchin.
