During services at All Nations Pentecostal Church, the photographers were briefly permitted inside. Elder Lucy Smith, the remarkable founder and leader of All Nations, was one of the best-known leaders of working class congregations. A "healer" and regular radio personality, she had managed in a mere ten years to leave a storefront and establish her congregation in the large, modern church building shown here.
