Opening Celebration: Summer 2026 Exhibitions

June 11, 2026 (5:00PM – 8:00PM ET)

This event is free with museum admission.

Celebrate the start of ICP’s summer season with the opening of two landmark exhibitions that explore photography's wide-ranging impact and its ability to define contemporary life and culture.

About the Exhibitions

Yves Saint Laurent and Photography
Exploring the relationship Yves Saint Laurent forged between fashion and photography over four decades, this exhibition reveals how photography functioned not only as a tool for promotion but also as a creative force that helped define a legacy. Organized in collaboration with the Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris and the Fondation Pierre Bergé–Yves Saint Laurent, it brings together more than 300 iconic photographs and archival objects.

Photobooks USA 2000–25
This exhibition examines the photobook as a tool for responding to the forces shaping contemporary life in the United States. With over than 50 titles, it presents a cross section of creators, themes, forms, and subjects, examining how artists have used the photobook to circulate their work in powerful and innovative ways.
