In ICP's Art Highlight Tours, join recent graduates of ICP’s One-Year Certificate Programs for 15-minute talks providing more insight into their projects on view in Shared Spaces: ICP Recent Graduate Exhibition.
Gabrielle Ravet will discuss her project Fangirl Diaries.
"What unites a group of fans when they are not brought together by performers at a concert? These nine portraits shift the camera’s focus from the musicians to the audience, allowing fans to take center stage. Each photograph presents an alternate view of a teen "fangirl" bedroom—a place where posters of bands like My Chemical Romance are replaced with images of that band’s fanbase. This series celebrates the collective power of diehard fandom to inspire collaboration and self-expression."
Tours will be offered throughout the exhibition on Fridays at 4 PM and Saturdays at 2 PM.
