In ICP's Art Highlight Tours, join recent graduates of ICP’s One-Year Certificate Programs for 15-minute talks providing more insight into their projects on view in Shared Spaces: ICP Recent Graduate Exhibition.
The Light We Carry represents an intricate tapestry of Heather Lynch's family’s lineage; it is a deeply personal exploration of the matriarchs who shaped her journey. Lynch says, "In one recurring dream from my adolescence, I see a womb with two vessels inside—reflecting the recurrence of twins in my family." The Light We Carry celebrates the love and resilience of Black women, inviting viewers to reconsider societal narratives and appreciate the invaluable role of family.
Tours will be offered throughout the exhibition on Fridays at 4 PM and Saturdays at 2 PM.
