Join us for the opening of 2019 ICP-Bard MFA candidate Genevieve Fournier’s solo exhibition, Some Views, at the ICP-Bard MFA Studios in Long Island City.

Inspired by the proliferation and repetition of imagery in our daily lives, Fournier repurposes visual elements that already exist in the world to explore the language that we impulsively create through the still and moving image. Some Views articulates the ways in which Fournier deploys these collected fragments—through books, photographs and installation—to look into the mechanics of seeing and the repercussions of recording.
