About Queer Critique Group
The Queer Critique Group comprises entirely queer photographers of varying skill levels and stages in their artistic careers. The group focuses on the evaluation of lens-based artists’ work in a small-group setting. This critique group supports emerging, underrepresented artists and fosters dialogues between peers and professionals around the medium of photography. This group represents a diversity of queer identity and experience, prioritizing the task of strengthening all members’ practices and careers. Every 3rd Tuesday of the month, the group meets virtually to explore each other’s lens-based practice as well as subject matter, approach, techniques, readings, and visual references relevant to the discipline of queer photographic work. The group welcomes new members at any time.
