PickAxe, breaking the spell, the Miami model, & five short films

PickAxe shows how a group of activists established the Cascadia Free State and struggled to save the Warner Creek tract of old-growth public forest in Oregon that was slated for salvage logging after an arsonist set a fire in 1991. Breaking the spell examines the 1999 Seattle WTO protests from the point of view of the anarchists, including those who travelled from Eugene, Oregon. The Miami model presents, from a grassroots perspective, what happenned in Miami in November, 2003, when thousands of activists decided to protest the Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA). Five Short Films are documentary experiments titled, Safetybike; How to turn a bicycle into a record player; Auto re-vision; Join the resistance, fall in love; Why I love shoplifting from big corporations.
