How can I buy/renew membership?
Memberships can be purchased online, at the Visitor Services desk in the Museum lobby, or by calling the Membership Office at 212.857-0003 during Museum business hours.
How can I renew my membership online?
To renew your membership online, you first need to verify your membership. You can do this by entering your Membership ID or, if you don't have it handy, using your email address instead. Once your membership is verified, you’ll be guided through the renewal process.
Is an ICP Membership tax-deductible?
Tax deductibility varies based on membership level. Below are the tax-deductible amounts for each level:
• Individual/Dual: Fully tax-deductible
• Lens: $200
• Focus: $425
• Photographer’s Circle: $850
• Visionary Circle: $2,200
• Collector’s Circle: $4,500
I just joined ICP. What happens next?
If you recently joined or renewed an existing membership, you will receive an acknowledgment letter and an ICP Membership card in the mail within two weeks.
I just purchased my membership online/over the phone. How can I get into the Museum before my cards arrive?
After you purchase a membership online or over the phone, you will receive an email confirmation. Check in at the Visitor Experience desk in the Museum lobby with your confirmation or valid photo I.D.
For how long is my membership valid?
All memberships are valid for one year from the end of the month in which you join. For example, if you joined in March, your membership would not expire until March 31 of the following year.
I lost my membership card. How can I get a replacement card?
To request a new card, call the Membership Office at 212.857.0003, Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:30 am and 5:30 pm, or email: [email protected]
How do I update my contact information?
Please email [email protected] with your new information and we will update your records. You may also call the Membership Office at 212.857.0003, Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:30 am and 5:30 pm.
Can the cost of Museum admission be applied toward a membership?
Yes, the cost of your admission may be applied toward a membership purchase on the same day. A Visitor Experience staff member will be happy to help you.
How can I upgrade my membership?
You can upgrade your membership at any time during your annual membership cycle. Just call the Membership Office at 212.857.0003, Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:30 am and 5:30 pm.
Do ICP members receive discounts on classes?
Yes! ICP members receive $25 off all Open Education classes priced over $100.
How do I redeem my member discount for classes?
To apply your discount:
1. Log into your account using your Member ID.
2. Before enrolling in a class, enter the promo code ICPOE25 at checkout.
Does the discount apply to all ICP classes?
The discount applies to Open Education classes over $100. It does not apply to Continuing Education or Teen Academy programs unless otherwise noted.
Can I use my member discount when shopping online at the ICP Shop?
Yes! ICP members receive an exclusive discount at the ICP Shop online. Use promo code MEMBER10 at checkout to receive your discount.
What does my membership contribution support?
Your membership contribution supports the Museum's exhibitions and education programs. Members make all these things possible—thank you!
