James Whitlow Delano

After a commercial stint in New York and then Hollywood, Delano traveled to Japan, where he now lives and works as a freelance photographer. From there he's working on an ongoing project exploring Asian culture throughout the region. His images focus on Asia's vanishing heritage in the face of rapid industrialization. His soft, muted, sometimes moody, sometimes dreamy images are a gateway to the changing cultures he documents. .
