Amelia Earhart was rarely pictured with an open-mouthed grin. This image, however, seems to exemplify her attitude toward flying, as well as the title of her second book, The Fun of It. Throughout her career, Earhart maintained that she flew, not for fame or fortune, but because she loved it.
