Writing as Practice: Peripheral Continuity

The symposium Writing as Practice: Peripheral Continuity aims to investigate the role and use of the written word in current artistic practices. Many artists today use narrative writing as a central part of the "image-making" process. Within that context, it becomes relevant to ask; what characterizes the gray zone between visual art and literature, artist and writer and image and text? Bringing together a collection of writers, visual artists, and curators, the symposium aims to facilitate a discussion around new ideas in artistic practice and narrative writing as a convergence and/or partnership.
