Tim Chaffee

Tim Chaffee is a VR shooter, editor and producer in the New York Times VR department. He spent 2017 as a member of the Daily 360, the New York Times’ effort with Samsung to produce one 360 video every day for over a year. He was also the Cinematographer and Associate producer for The National: Something Out of Nothing, the VR documentary directed by Marshall Curry for NYT VR. Outside of VR Tim was also the editor on the upcoming feature film Omphalos. He has directed a number of short films and music videos. He is also working on his upcoming documentary ‘What Wondrous Love is This’ about his mother, Dr. Barbara Chaffee who was a pioneering AIDS/HIV doctor in upstate NY at the height of the AIDS epidemic.
