Scott Rossi
Scott Rossi (b.1991, Canada) is based in Brooklyn. His work weaves between documentary and fine art photography, while capturing the poetic nuances of daily life and the complex relationship among people and their environment. Rossi holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Victoria and is a graduate of the Documentary Practices and Visual Journalism program at the International Center of Photography. Following his move to New York City in 2020, he began his project, “Common Place.” Produced over two years, the project highlights the importance of Central Park to New Yorkers, focusing on the dynamic relationship between the public space and its inhabitants. It resulted in his first monograph. In 2021, he attended the Eddie Adams Workshop and was a finalist for the Lucie Foundation Emerging Artist Scholarship. In 2022, he was a finalist for the Libraryman First Photobook Award. In 2024, he was accepted into the New York Portfolio Review, and in 2025, he was awarded the NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship. His work has been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and the British Journal of Photography, among others.
