Mackenzie Calle is a documentary photographer and National Geographic Explorer based in Brooklyn. Her work typically blurs the line between fact and fiction to explore long-term stories that investigate systems of power, science, and queer issues. Her work has been recognized by institutions that include World Press Photo, Magnum Foundation, and the Sony World Photography Awards. Mackenzie is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and ICP’s Documentary Practice and Visual Journalism program and is a member of Women Photograph.
