The International Center of Photography is committed to offering space and programs that are accessible to all audiences.

Wheelchairs

ICP and its programs are accessible to people using both manual and electric wheelchairs. The museum, school, and lobby are all wheelchair accessible. Two wheelchairs are available in Coat Check free of charge.

All bathrooms at ICP are wheelchair accessible.

Service Animals

Service animals are welcome at ICP. Pets are not permitted.

Enjoy exhibition introduction, audio guides, and select programming at icp.org/audio.

Exhibition Materials

Paper copies of exhibition labels and wall text in Simplified Chinese and Spanish are available by request at the Admissions and Information desk in the lobby. Large-print versions are also available.

Closed-captions or transcriptions of video works in the exhibitions are available by request at the Admissions and Information desk in the lobby.

Digital versions of Information & Map guides are available in English, Spanish, and Chinese via PDF download for current exhibitions at ICP’s museum.

Group Tours

ICP's Museum Education program provides guided and self-guided tours, interpretative materials, and events for educators. These resources introduce visitors to photography while building visual literacy and critical thinking skills. Led by Museum Educators, tours are conducted in an inquiry-based discussion format, encouraging audience members to discover visual information and realize multiple interpretations and meanings. ICP offers exhibition tours to the public (free with museum admission) on Fridays at 2 PM. On the last Saturday of every month during suggested donation hours, ICP Community Days offer guided tours, family-friendly workshops, and special events, including exhibition tours in English, Mandarin, Spanish, and American Sign Language.

Sign-Language Interpretation

ICP offers American Sign Language tours of the museum’s exhibitions specifically designed for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. American Sign Language gallery tours are available by request with one-month advance notice. Email groups@icp.org to reserve your booking.

ICP supports all identities and expressions. Please use the restroom you prefer.

WiFi

ICP offers free WiFi on all floors.
