Wu Yinxian was a Chinese photographer, filmmaker, and educator widely recognized as one of the most important figures in the development of twentieth-century Chinese photography. Known for his documentary images of revolutionary China, rural communities, and political leaders, Wu played a central role in shaping the visual language of Chinese socialist photography.
