This Thursday, ICP celebrates pride and love in all its forms! We start off the evening at 5 PM with a Pride Social in the ICP cafe, with specials on Dyke Beer all evening. Museum admission is not required to visit the cafe.
Then, from 6 until 9 PM, enjoy our $5 Late Night ICP admission, bring your date and walk through Love Songs: Photography and Intimacy while listening to the Love Songs exhibition playlist in-gallery. Artists with work on view in the show selected their favorite love songs, from old-school classics to pop jams, for an international playlist that will be your new go-to. Listen while visiting the exhibition and add another dimension to your viewing experience, from songs by Leonard Cohen and Ringo Sheena (who rongrong&inri listened to while they wrote their love letters to one another), BADBADNOTGOOD and Miguel Bosé (who for Karla Hiraldo Voleau bring back memories of her partner and the eventual end of their relationship), and many more including selections from Aikaterina Gegisian, Clifford Prince King, Leigh Ledare, and Love Songs curator Sara Raza.
Every Thursday night from 6–9 PM is Late Night ICP, with special $5 museum admission and fun things to do, see, and hear including talks, tours, specialty drinks, music, and more.
Dyke Beer was founded by two Dykes in Brooklyn as a way to pay homage to lost lesbian bars and to create new spaces for queer women. It was founded by Loretta Chung and Sarah Hallonquist in 2020. Dyke Beer has produced over 100 events for the queer community. So far Dyke Beer has launched delicious craft beers: a Saison, Tall Girl Gose, Down Under Australian Sparkling Ale, Witch Please Lager, and a Chicha Ale. ICP proudly serves Dyke Beer in our café all year long.
