"How am I going to buy meat and green vegetables for 11 on one relief check?" exclaimed this family's mother. Unable to eat healthily on their relief allocation, family members were often sick. Dr. Arthur G. Falls is shown at the door, where Lee's unusual exterior use of flash tellingly contributes a brilliant shine to the doctor's elegant shoes, and at a sick child's bedside.
