Talia Herman

Talia Herman is a San Francisco Bay Area–based photographer working at the intersection of documentary, portraiture, and advertising. She holds a B.A. in Social and Historical Inquiry from Eugene Lang College and is a graduate of the Documentary Photography program at the International Center of Photography (ICP). Her clients include The New Yorker, Dove and TIME Magazine.

Raised in a bicultural household in a Northern California hippie enclave, Talia’s upbringing shapes her visual storytelling. Her photographic approach is grounded in connection—building trust with her subjects to create images that are honest, fluid, and respectful.

Talia’s work, often centered on family, offers an intimate exploration of childhood, gender, and the passage of time.
