Stella Johnson investigates culture, community, and family while developing lifelong relationships with the people she photographs. Al Sol: Photographs from Mexico, Cameroon, and Nicaragua, was published in 2008 by the University of Maine Press. Zoi was published in 2018 by Wild Greek press. Stella was a Core Fulbright Scholar to Mexico in 2003 and a Fulbright Specialist to Mexico in 2008 and Colombia in 2018. Stella teaches at Lesley University College of Art and Design and Boston University, and leads workshops in Cuba, Mexico, Colombia, Israel and Greece.
