Sarah Stacke is a photographer, author, and archival researcher based in New York. Through long-term projects created in dialogue with communities she seeks to share stories about relationships to the land and its histories. Her work has appeared in National Geographic, Harper's, The New York Times, NPR, and Washington Post, among others. Sarah received a master’s degree from Duke University and is the author of four photography books. She teaches courses about the use of archives in documentary work and the ways archives shape collective memory and identity
