Erica Reade

Erica Reade is fascinated by the juxtaposition of beach culture and landscape in the midst of NYC’s urban chaos, and the public display of intimate moments that play out on NYC’s shores. Reade specializes in street and documentary photography, with a specific focus on intimacy and love in public settings. Her first photo book ‘Beach Lovers’ was released in June 2022, published by Daylight Books. A selection from the series was then published in the photo book ‘Love Story,’ published by Hoxton Mini Press in 2023. Her work has been published in i-D, British Journal of Photography, The Guardian, and Hyperallergic, among others. She has exhibited in group and solo shows across NYC since 2015, including SohoPhoto Gallery, Foley Gallery and Artspace PS 109. Most recently, Beach Lovers was placed in the Photo Lucida Critical Mass Top 200.
