Alison Morley

Alison Morley is the Director of International Programs at the International Center of Photography based in New York. Previously, Alison was Chair of the Documentary Practice and Visual Journalism Program at ICP since 2000.
She has lectured and led workshops with various partnering institutions in Argentina, Bangladesh, China, Colombia, Hungary, Italy, Peru, Spain, Thailand, The Philippines and Uganda. In Alison’s new role at ICP, she will continue to teach and manage new Masterclass Programs in Visual Storytelling and Book Making in various global locations.

Alison has written on photography for magazines and books. She has also been the photo editor at multiple magazines including: The New York Times Sophisticated Traveler, Audubon, Life, Civilization, Esquire, Mirabella, Elle, and The Los Angeles Times Magazine. She has edited several books by Ron Haviv, Ed Kashi and Stephen Ferry; most recently: The Family Imprint by Nancy Borowick, Frozen in Time by Sarah Butler and Urban Cave by Andrea Star Reese.

She is on the nominating committee for World Press Photos and received the Golden Colt Award for Excellence in Teaching in Guangzhou, China in 2015. She has also been a judge and reviewer for the Fulbright Committee, OSF, OPC, PDN and Pink Lady.
