It is the eighth in the series "New Histories of Photography." Six of the fourteen prints were recently acquired rare early prints made prior to Lee Freidlander's acquisition of the negatives in the 1960s, possibly printed during Bellocq's lifetime. Eight prints were made by Friedlander from the original negatives. Curated by Brian Wallis.
