Investigative Practices 101 is a three-hour investigative-journalism workshop intended to empower participants with the tools to begin pursuing journalistic investigations of their own. Anne Elizabeth Moore will lead participants through the basic steps of any amateur investigation, from formulating initial questions and identifying involved parties, to basic interviewing techniques and journalistic etiquette. Finally, participants will learn to use a set of online tools and databases geared towards locating documents relevant to their investigation. No previous experience required.
