People, culture, and daily life are central facets of Snezhana von Buedingen’s work. In October 2017, the photographer started spending time with Sofie—who lives with Down Syndrome—on her family’s farm in Eilensted, Germany. Since then, von Buedingen has shared in the highs and lows of Sofie’s first steps into love, among other aspects of everyday life, from which the series “Meeting Sofie” blooms.
