In conjunction with the exhibition Lewis Hine, on view October 4–January 19, three scholars of documentary photography will discuss Hine's work and legacy.

Alison Nordström, an independent scholar and curator of photographs, was formerly Senior Curator of Photographs and Director of Exhibitions at George Eastman House. She is the curator of Lewis Hine.

Maren Stange, professor of American studies at The Cooper Union, has written extensively about social documentary photography and cultural history in America.

Jorge Ribalta is an artist, writer, editor, and independent curator based in Barcelona. His many publications include The Worker Photography Movement (1926–1939) (Museo Reina Sofia, Madrid, 2011).

The panel will be moderated by ICP Curator Kristen Lubben.
