Join us for the opening of 2019 ICP-Bard MFA candidate Avijit Halder’s solo exhibition, my body of work, at the ICP-Bard MFA Studios in Long Island City.

In my body of work, Halder presents stills, paintings, collage, and video to investigate the dichotomy of gender binary in his displacement and in his queer community.  In an act of swaddling through his mother’s memory, Halder gets lost in the fluidity of fabric by focusing on photographic performance to understand the representation of the male body as it relates to his own.
