Part-Time Programs Online Info Session

Launched this spring, ICP specialized Part-Time Programs range from foundations to advanced photographic practices. Structured to fit your budget and schedule, Part-Time Programs are affordable and flexible opportunities to enrich your photographic practice. This Fall, ICP Part-Time Programs introduced the new Street Photography Intensive as well as onsite courses in the Photography Foundations Intensive. 

Join Associate Director of Part-Time Programs, Natan Dvir, in a two-hour, drop-in online Q&A session to learn more! Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in conversation with Natan, learn about the programs’ special benefits, understand how to credit courses completed at ICP, and consult on how the Intensives might fit their personal interests and practice. 

Continuing Education Course Advisement

ICP Continuing Education Staff will assist students in selecting upcoming courses. They are available to discuss students’ experience, interests, and skills, and share information on classes and faculty.

Drop-In Critique

1:30–3:30 PM, with Jennifer McClure 

In this workshop, photographers are invited to engage in dialogue about their work with the ICP community of imagemakers. Led by ICP faculty member Jennifer McClure, artists will receive feedback and exchange ideas. This drop-in critique workshop is for all photographers wishing to engage with the ICP community of imagemakers. Whether your photographs are prints or digital files, created with a smartphone or on film, or consist of a single prized image or a series of images, this drop-in critique workshop is for you. Join Instructor Jennifer McClure for an opportunity to engage with the ICP community of imagemakers about your work. Each artist who stops by to show their work will receive feedback, exchange ideas and share their photographs with fellow imagemakers. Critiques will last approximately 15-minutes each, and the workshop is open for participants to flow in-and-out throughout the 2-hour window.

Smartphone Workshop

1:30–2:15 PM and 3:00–3:45 PM, with Hannah La Follette Ryan

Each workshop is limited to 12 students. Sign-up on site.​

Camera phones are not just our daily companions but an artistic tool with unique capabilities. In this 45-minute workshop, participants will review techniques for creating strong, dynamic images with their phones and view the work of photographers who are challenging and innovating smartphone photography before going out to make images in ICP’s Lower East Side Neighborhood. Please bring your fully-charged smartphone. This workshop will take place rain or shine.
