About The Photographers Lecture Series: The series began in 1974 and is ICP's oldest and most popular public program encompassing at least 20 lectures each year, the series invites emerging and established photographers to give a slide presentation of recent work and engage in a question-and-answer discussion with the audience. For many years, the series was moderated by ICP's Founding Director Cornell Capa (1918-2008); beginning in 1990, these duties were shared with Phillip S. Block, currently Deputy Director for Programs and Director of Education at ICP, who took over full responsibility as moderator in 2002.
