Homemade

HOMEMADE portrays a collection of twenty-four homemade 8mm pornographic movies, thought to have been created in Southern California, in the late 1960s. The film reels for each movie are encapsulated in an envelope or series of envelopes and accompanied by a brief textual description, both of which are original to the collection. The collection of movies are presented as a series of photographs of the envelopes that contain them, coupled with scans of their original descriptions. The actual footage is withheld, using the text and minimal presentation to spark viewers' imaginations. While representational of pornographic ideas, the work withholds pornographic realities, in exchange for pornographic fantasies. - publishers description.
