Gabriele Basilico
TR820.5.I8 .B37 2009
Gabriele Basilico is one of the great authors of Italian photography. His work is at the centre of the debate on cities and contemporary landscape. In this film, Basilico travels from Milan to France, from Beirut to Silicon Valley, from Genoa's harbour to Moscow, and he explains how "the slowness of seeing" is fundamental in order to understand and give a sense to scenes. Basilico recounts himself and his work, and how his photographs place the space at the centre, with no prejudice.
