Aspect is a biannual DVD magazine of new media art. The mission of the publication is to distribute and archive works of time-based art. Each issue highlights 5-10 artists working in new or experimental media, whose works are best documented in video or sound. Each work can be viewed with or without an additional commentator audio track.Time-based art by west coast artists, most incorporating video or performance. Includes optional commentary tracks by curators and additional material on the artists and curators. From San Diego to Seattle, the West Coast of the U.S. is an environemnt that has long fostered the growth of new media. Numerous educational and cultural institutions act as epicenters around which artists, technologists, and experimenters can coalesce and interact.
