"This book presents images from our annual competition held in January 2006 at the former studio of Richard Avedon in New York City. Images receiving a majority vote or better from our jury appear in the book and on our web site. From over 9,000 images submitted, only 363 were selected to appear in this book and represent the best images from the year. Another 200 were chosen to appear on our web site." --Book Jacket.
