"When police had calmed the crowds crashing into the barriers in their haste to get aboard the excursion ship, the picnickers began to realize that scores must have been killed or injured. Here, this screaming girl has suddenly realized that the body lying under the blanket is that of her mother, Mrs. Rose Grant, of 454 Lenox Ave., one of three women trampled to death."
