1939 Born in Pakruojis, Lithuania, to Ona and Vladas Kuncius. His father was organist in the churches of Pakruojis and Klovainiai.
1946 – 1957 Lived in Kaunas.
1958 – 1963 Studied law and music in Vilnius.
1963 Decided to be a photographer and started participating in exhibitions.
1963 – 1997 Worked as a photographer for the cultural press (Literatura ir menas and Kulturos barai) and collected an archive of portraits of the cultural elite.
1969 Together with others, founded the Lithuanian Art Photographers Society.
1977 Had his first solo exhibition.
1979 – 1984 Filmed with a 16 mm camera and collected a unique film archive.
1997 – 2002 Was head of the Photographic Art Department at the Lithuanian Art Museum.
1998 Won the Lithuanian National Culture and Art Award.
1999 Honorary member of the Lithuanian Art Photographers Union.
