Join Elisabeth Sherman, ICP's Senior Curator and Director of Exhibitions and Collections for a guided walking tour of Selections from ICP at 50: From the Collection, 1845–2019, with a special focus on Robert Capa’s iconic D-Day landing photograph known as "The Face in the Surf,” to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the landings at Omaha Beach on D-Day. The tour will also include highlights from Yto Barrada: Part-Time Abstractionist and Shared Spaces: 2024 ICP Recent Graduates Exhibition.
Elisabeth Sherman is the Senior Curator and Director of Exhibitions and Collections at the International Center of Photography. Previous to her current role, she was at the Whitney Museum of American Art, where she curated and co-curated numerous exhibitions including Time Management Techniques and Dawoud Bey: An American Project (2019–2022), which had a four-venue tour and won the Lucie Award for Photo Museum Exhibition of the Year in 2021. Sherman also oversaw the Whitney’s presentation of Zoe Leonard: Survey, the first large-scale overview of the artist's work in an American museum.
