1999 Infinity Award: Master of Photography

Arnold Newman's carer spand more than 60 years. The originator of the environmental portrait, Newman is also known for his work in still life and abstract photography. He has been featured in numerous domestic and international magazines and has published several books, including One Mind’s Eye: The Portraits and Other Photographs of Arnold Newman, Arnold Newman: Five Decades, and Arnold Newman’s Americans. He has received many awards including five honorary doctorates, the Life Achievement Award from the Society of Magazine Photographers, and the Missouri Honor Medal for Distinguished Service in Journalism, University of Missouri.
