ICP Members at the Photography Circle level and above are invited to the exhibition opening and reception for Rising Waters: Photographs of Sandy at the Museum of the City of New York.
Rising Waters is an exhibition of photographs taken in Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, and Manhattan as well as New Jersey; they capture the superstorm, the damage, and the aftermath. Culled from over 10,000 images sent by both professional photographers and New Yorkers who caught astonishing moments on their cell phones, many shots will make viewers feel that the photographer, in fact, should not have paused to take the picture. Superstorm Sandy was the most destructive storm to ever hit the region.
Please RSVP to membership@icp.org.
This exhibition is on view through March 2, 2014.
